- Allied (2016) is a World War II romantic thriller starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard. The film follows intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt) and French resistance fighter Marianne Beauséjour (Cotillard), who meet in Casablanca during a high-stakes mission to assassinate a Nazi official. After successfully completing their mission, they fall in love, marry, and start a new life in London. However, their happiness is threatened when Max is informed by British intelligence that Marianne may be a German spy. As Max desperately searches for the truth, he is forced to confront his loyalty, love, and the ultimate cost of war. The film, directed by Robert Zemeckis, blends romance, espionage, and suspense, delivering a gripping story of love and betrayal.
